Speaker engineering & technologies

Our speakers are built with carefully engineered acoustic solutions and selected components to deliver accurate, natural sound. From driver design and crossovers to cabinet construction, every detail is optimized for clarity and balance. Discover the technologies we use in our speakers.

Silk Dome Tweeter

Silk Dome Tweeter

A soft silk dome with a treble diffuser provides clear, detailed highs. Black Diamond technology, neodymium magnets and ferrofluid cooling support stable performance under higher loads.

A silk dome surrounded by a treble diffuser in the Back in Black series generates exceptionally clear high-frequency sound, which is the hallmark of Melodika brand. The lightweight silk is heated to extreme temperatures, molded into dome shape and then stiffened with our proprietary "Black Diamond" technology so that regardless of the degree of load with a strong signal, it always maintains its shape. The tweeter is equipped with powerful and sensitive neodymium magnets, and is protected from long-term high-power loading by ferrofluid cooling.

Fiberglass woofer

A lightweight fibreglass cone combines rigidity with fast impulse response. It helps maintain controlled, low distortion performance during demanding bass passages.

Fibreglass has an unbeatable strength-to-weight ratio, which is why it is such a popular material used in racing car bodies. It provides high stiffness, including resistance to torsional forces while maintaining minimal weight. The benefits are identical when used in the construction of midrange and woofer speakers.

Unique properties make the speakers light enough to react quickly to an electrical impulse from the amplifier, and at the same time they are strong enough to maintain their shape during demanding, explosive, bass-heavy passages and deliver the sound completely free from distortion.

Fiberglass midrange with phase plug

Fiberglass midrange with phase plug

A rigid, lightweight fiberglass cone supports fast and controlled midrange response. The phase plug improves dispersion, cooling and power handling in the critical vocal range.

The fiberglass midrange loudspeaker has the same construction as the loudspeaker woofer. An additional element here is a phase plug. Midrange speakers use it to synchronize the sound coming from the edges and center of the cone and adjust the frequency in the range of 300 – 2000Hz. Frequencies below this range, such as those in woofers, are omnidirectional in nature and do not need a phase plug that limits the SPL in the woofer.

The phase plug slows down the acoustic wave running from the center of the speaker cone to adapt it to the slightly slower acoustic wave from the edge of the cone. In this way, it is transmited at the same time, achieving optimal fidelity of the reproduced sound.

In addition, this also reduces the mass of the speaker cone to obtain an extended frequency response and allows better airflow through the structure, which improves cooling and thus, increases power output.

DALtech acoustic damping

DALtech acoustic damping

A damping material placed in key areas of the cabinet absorbs unwanted resonances. It reduces distortion and supports cleaner, more accurate sound reproduction.

DALtech is an acoustic damping material that eliminates interference resulting from the operation of the speakers in the cabinet. The loudspeaker naturally falls into resonance due to the energy it generates and thus, causes distortion and discolouration of the sound, reducing its fidelity. DALtech is installed in the strategic, research-defined areas of the loudspeaker cabinet, capturing and absorbing unwanted resonances to achieve pure sound reproduction, undistorted by unwanted vibrations.

Uniform crossover topology

Uniform crossover topology

High quality crossover components help maintain durability and a consistent sound character. This allows flexible speaker combinations within the series while preserving dynamic, tonally balanced audio.

The crossover is the first stop for the incoming signal from the amplifier and plays an important role in sound processing, just like the speakers and a cabinet. The crossovers of all Back in Black series models use the same high-quality capacitors, resistors and other elements. They guarantee high durability and maintaining a high level of sound properties, such as timbre and tone.

This also makes it possible to freely combine the loudspeakers within the series and obtain a system that is perfectly tailored to our needs, while always generating the sound that impresses not only with its dynamics but also with its consistent tone.
